My passion is to guide students on how to use the practices of yoga to create healing and integration and to live an authentic and inspired life. I am grateful for the positive changes I have seen in my life as a result of practicing yoga. I also feel incredibly honored to have the opportunity to share these ancient teachings. I began practicing yoga as a way to more effectively deal with stress and anxiety, and I was so inspired by the changes I experienced in my personal life, I decided to attend a yoga teacher training program in 2007. I loved the idea of using yoga as therapeutic modality, so after completing my 200-hr yoga teacher training at Yoga Source, I went on to complete my 500 hour certification at the Asheville Yoga Center with an emphasis on Yoga Therapeutics. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, have completed graduate work in Counseling/Psychology, and have also went through the Mind Body Stress Reduction Program (created by Jon Kabat-Zinn). I am currently studying to become an Ayurvedic Health Counselor with John Joseph Immel, Kimberly Kubicke and Susan Bass.
